3.1 Data You Directly Provide to Us

When you use our Services, you provide us with information; some of this information is for identifying you. When you provide this information, some of this data may be visible to other Members of the Application and is public on the Application. To make it easy for you to understand which data is public, the information will be marked as "Public." Hive cannot be held responsible for data disclosed by another Hive member. On the other hand, other information is not accessible to other Members and therefore cannot be seen by others; this information is marked as "Private" below.

Hive collects and processes data related to your registration and interactions with Hive.

3.1.1. Registration and Member Profile Data

Required information for registration

These are the basic data required for registration to access our Services.

This data is collected by Hive in different ways depending on the registration method you choose.

If you choose to register with your Facebook, Apple, or Google account, your data is collected from these platforms to reduce formalities. By clicking the "Connect with Facebook/Apple/Google" button, you authorize these platforms to send this data to us.

Alternatively, you can register via your mobile phone number, in which case you directly provide your data to Hive.

This data is related to your identity.

Depending on how you register, some information is mandatory for the provision of Services. If you do not provide this information, Hive cannot provide you with the Services offered by the Application and you cannot create an Account. In any case, to register for the Application, name (public), age (public), date of birth (private), gender, and at least one Profile photo (public) are mandatory. After adding at least one Profile photo showing your face, you have the right to add or delete other photos at any time. As stated in paragraph 1. "Definitions," the first Profile photo must be a face photo; otherwise, one of your face photos will automatically be moved to the first position.

If you choose to register with your phone number, your phone number is mandatory for registration. (Not shared with Members)

If you choose to register via Facebook (if enabled), your name and age are mandatory. Additionally, you can allow Facebook to send your last name, date of birth, gender, email address to Hive, and add Profile photos from your Facebook account.

If you choose to register via Apple or Google, your name and age are mandatory. These platforms may also send your last name to Hive.

On the other hand, if you refuse to enable geolocation services during registration and thus prevent Hive from collecting your location data to show you profiles of Members you may encounter, you must provide your city. This information allows Hive to show you profiles of Members around you.

Optional information to complete your profile

You can add other additional information to complete your profile. This information is not mandatory and can only be provided at your request and under your responsibility. You can complete your profile directly through the Application and/or by linking your Account to Facebook via Facebook Connect. This data includes:

professional career and education (public): profession and education;

interests and habits (public): personal preferences, leisure, music preferences, lifestyle, Member's Characteristics;

height (public);

your profile description (public): if you wish, you can share additional information about yourself by writing in the space reserved for this purpose, and this information can be seen by Hive Members. On the other hand, if you wish, you can also answer questions about your lifestyle (your personality traits, sports, travel, type of relationship you are looking for, etc.).

Your description is a free text field. Hive recommends that Members do not share data that could be considered sensitive with other Members or with Hive through the Application. Sensitive data is defined as data legally considered "sensitive" under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"). This includes data related to ethnic or racial origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, as well as data related to health, sexual life, or sexual orientation ("Sensitive Data"). If a Member wishes to share such information on their profile, this sharing is considered "explicitly made public" by the relevant Member under the GDPR.

3.1.2. Data Related to Interaction with Hive:

When you contact customer service and support, report a problem with our services, report another user, request help, exercise your rights over your personal data, or participate in special offers, games, competitions, surveys, share your experiences, testimonials about our services, and answer our forms, Hive collects personal data relevant to the situation:

Data related to complaints and requests directed to Hive customer service (private): date and time of the complaint or request, nature and reason of the complaint or request, data related to the reported user. On the other hand, for security and privacy reasons, an identity document may be requested to exercise your rights over your personal data.

This data is collected by Hive when you request support from customer service, exercise your personal data rights, report a problem or another user. This information is necessary to process a complaint or respond to your requests. This information is also processed when there is a complaint about you. Hive is legally obliged to collect complaints from Members about content and behavior that may violate the General Terms of Use.

Data related to participation in games, competitions, testimonials, and your satisfaction (private): participation, answers, satisfaction level, suggestions, testimonials.

This data is collected by Hive when you participate in games and competitions, answer our surveys and satisfaction questions, and provide your testimonial. Data is mandatory when participating in games and competitions organized by Hive. Without this data, Hive cannot register you for games and competitions. On the other hand, data related to your testimonials and satisfaction is optional.

3.2 Data We Automatically Collect

When you use our Services and functions, we collect information about your activity on the Application:

Data related to your activity (registration date, connection dates, online or offline status, interactions with Members and third parties, number of commercial transactions, received notifications, notification preferences, etc.)

When accessing the Services, using the Application and its functions, some data about how you use them is collected and processed. Most of this information collected by Hive is necessary for the provision of Services. Without this data, Hive cannot provide the Services related to the Application. This includes registration date, connection dates, online or offline status, type and number of interactions with other Members (Search, Likes, Crush, etc.), accounts linked to your Account (Spotify, Instagram, etc.), or commercial transactions you make (Pro and ghost, etc., purchase or subscription registration), notifications you receive, and your notification preferences.

Your geolocations and distances with other Members (private)

The main purpose and service of the Application is to allow you to find other Members you may encounter or may have encountered. Your geolocation is collected with your explicit consent. To facilitate your matching with other Members who have allowed their geolocation to be determined, you will be asked for permission to collect and process data about your geolocation.

If you have not restrictively set your terminal settings, your geolocation is regularly collected by Hive.

The geolocation of two Members is shown as distance. The exact location is not shared.

If you do not consent to the use of location services during registration, providing your city is for ease of use. This information allows Hive to show you profiles of Members around you.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling the geolocation option on your smartphone. In this case, your content feed will not be updated, and you will not be able to see which other Members you have encountered after disabling the geolocation option. When there are no more profiles in your content feed, we will ask you to provide your city to suggest new Member profiles around you.

Sent and received text messages and voice messages (private)

Messages are between interacting members. They are sent to Hive servers and stored there. Text messages and voice messages are completely private and only concern the relevant Members. Hive authorized personnel do not have the right to view these chats. These messages are not shared or disclosed to third parties unless there is a judicial request and/or legal regulations or applicable regulations. Moreover, other Members or any third party not involved in the chat do not have access to these completely private Messages. Despite all conditions, third-party access to this information constitutes a crime. Hive cannot be held responsible for this.

Information related to video calls (time and date the call was started and ended…) (private)

When you want to make a video call in the Hive application, the technical data of your phone is required to enable communication between two Members. The times and dates when calls are started and ended are stored by Hive. However, video call contents are not stored. Video calls are instantaneous.

Search preferences - the people you want to find (age, gender) (private)

The Application allows Members to adjust their search settings based on age, gender, and the Member Characteristics they have filled in. You can change these parameters and enter information about which gender you are searching for after allowing Hive to collect and process this data in advance, so that only profiles you encounter that match your criteria are displayed. Thus, you only see Members in your content feed who match your search preferences and whom you have encountered.

Technical data of your mobile phone or device (IP address, mobile ID, application version, phone model and version, advertising ID...) (private)

We collect information from the devices and hardware you use to access our Services, such as IP address, application version, device model and version, phone or device identification number, language used, operating system, application crashes, advertising identification information, which may include server logs. This data may be collected through cookies or other trackers: for more information, see Cookie Usage.

Transaction data: Hive does not collect or process any bank data. Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Huawei AppGallery have chosen not to send certain data related to commercial transactions to mobile applications. Such data is only collected and processed by the platforms mentioned above; Hive does not have the option to change this payment method. The only information shared between Hive and official app stores is technical data to confirm transactions (e.g., transaction number), which does not allow the identification of your identity. Hive stores your purchase and subscription history but does not store any information about payment methods.

Once you give consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling the geolocation option on your smartphone. Withdrawal of consent does not invalidate the processing carried out before this request.

More information?

The main purpose of the Application is to allow you to find other Members you might like. You can meet other Members who have allowed their geolocation to be determined based on your distance. These distances allow Hive to show you profiles of Members closest to you and matching your search criteria.

Based on your activity on the Application, your location, and the information you provide on your profile, your profile may be highlighted in other Members' profiles. Additionally, we may suggest other Members you might be interested in through the Boost feature, and similarly, we may suggest your profile to other Members. Your profile is also highlighted when you use the Boost function mentioned in paragraph 1.

This processing allows the provision of Services and increases your chances of meeting suitable Members.

If you are a Member of the Hive Application, we may share your email address and phone number with these networks to exclude you from our Marketing campaigns. This information is shared using a "hash" function. This sharing also allows Hive to reach profiles similar to yours who may be interested in our Services. The existence of your profile is never disclosed to these similar profiles.

Legal basis: Consent

If you have given consent, your data will be shared with these social networks to exclude you from Hive's promotional content and to promote the Services to non-members on third-party sites. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (see section 11. Contact) or directly in the application by going to "My Data" and then "Manage My Preferences." If you withdraw your consent, we will not be able to exclude you from our ads on these networks.

Displaying personalized ads for third-party products and services in the Hive application that are relevant to the Member. These ads are personalized only based on your age range, gender, and country or city. Your personal preferences are not analyzed to show you ads. The personalization of ads also balances the frequency of displaying the same ad. Thus, when the Member consents, the repetition of the same ad is limited, and more diverse ads are displayed.

Legal basis: Consent

If you have given consent, the ads displayed in the Hive application are personalized. You can withdraw your consent for personalized ads based on age range and gender at any time by going to "My Data" and "Manage My Preferences." Premium Members do not see ads in the Hive application.

Distribution of non-personalized ads (based only on your country) for our partners' products and services and ads for Hive products and services in the Hive application.

If the faces match, the "Verified Profile" badge is given. The biometric data is deleted immediately after the comparison. If necessary, the video sent by the Member will be stored to recheck their profile based on the photos they add/delete. In this case, biometric data will again be collected from this video and compared with the Member's new photos before being deleted.

Legal basis: Consent

When you start the verification process, you are asked for consent to use biometric data for profile verification. You can withdraw your consent at any time by going to "My Data" and then "Manage My Preferences." If you withdraw your consent, your video will be deleted, and your biometric data cannot be collected. If you add a new Profile photo or delete the Profile photos you are using, your face cannot be compared, and you may lose your "Verified Profile" badge.

Members' personal data is processed only by certain authorized customer service employees and responsible persons at Hive for the purposes stated above. These authorized employees and responsible persons can only access the data necessary for their work.

Service providers and partners certified and trusted by Hive, who guarantee the confidentiality and security of Members' personal data, may also access and/or process Members' personal data on behalf of Hive. These service providers help us manage and improve our Services; especially in the following areas:

The personal data of Members processed in the context of the use of the Application is stored on servers in the European Union.

However, Members' personal data may be transferred to Hive service providers and subcontractors located outside the European Union for providing support to Members, managing complaints, marketing, and advertising.

Data transferred outside the European Union may be transferred to countries for which the European Commission has not issued an adequacy decision regarding the protection of personal data. Hive guarantees that these transfers are made under conditions ensuring the confidentiality and security of the data, providing an adequate level of protection under the applicable regulations. The framework of these transfers is determined by the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. You can obtain a copy by writing to our data protection officer at the following address: hive@azve.net.

8. How Can You Exercise Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data?

Your Rights

In accordance with the Turkish Data Protection Law and GDPR, each Member has the right to access, correct, and, if necessary, transfer and delete their personal data, to object to their processing or restriction, and to determine directives regarding the status of their personal data after their death. Hive, sensitive to Members' concerns, commits to respecting the protection of personal data and processing these requests as soon as possible.

How to Exercise?

The Member can exercise their rights by sending an email to hive@azve.net, directly through the Application, or by sending a letter to the following address:  For privacy reasons, an identity document may be requested if there is any doubt about the identity of the person making the request.

The Member can apply to the competent national control authorities for data protection for all other objections.

Details of Rights

The right of access allows the Member to request access to their data in an accessible format from Hive under the conditions and terms of Article 15 of the GDPR. Your right of access cannot violate the privacy limits of third parties; therefore, you can only access your own personal data, not the data of third parties (e.g., only the messages you sent can be provided, not the messages you received).
The right of correction allows the Member to request the correction, addition, updating, or deletion of any personal data about them that is incorrect, incomplete, ambiguous, outdated, or whose collection, use, disclosure, or storage is prohibited under the conditions and terms of Article 16 of the GDPR. You can directly change or correct some data on the Application. Simply go to your profile and make changes directly in the "My Photos", "Work and Education (Profession, Employer, School)" and "About Me" sections. If you registered via Facebook Connect, you can update your name, age, or gender by going to your Facebook page and updating "About - Contact and Basic Information" on your profile. If you registered with your mobile phone number, you need to send a letter to the addresses mentioned above or contact customer support to change your name, age, or gender. In case of an error, age can be corrected directly on the Application once.
The right of portability allows the Member to receive the personal data they have provided to Hive in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to transfer this data to another data controller, based on Article 16 of the GDPR.
The right to object allows the Member to object, free of charge and optionally, to the use of their data by Hive, especially for commercial prospecting and processing based on Hive's legitimate interests, based on Article 38 of the French Data Protection Law (Loi Informatique et Libertés) and Article 21 of the GDPR. For processing based on legitimate interests, Hive reserves the possibility to demonstrate legitimate and compelling reasons to continue processing.
The right to deletion allows the Member to request the deletion of data communicated to Hive, free of charge and optionally, within the framework of the rights based on Article 17 of the GDPR. Additionally, you can delete your Account directly through the Application by using the appropriate function. Remember that all your data will be deleted from the Hive application. However, as a hosting provider, Hive is legally obliged to keep your personal data for one year under Article 6 of the Digital Economy Privacy Law of June 21, 2004. Your data is stored in a separate archive database and only for responding to a judicial request. After one year, it is permanently deleted.
The right to restriction allows the Member to request the temporary suspension of the use of some of their data by Hive, in accordance with the conditions of Article 18 of the GDPR.
The right to determine directives regarding the storage, deletion, and transmission of personal data after death, in accordance with Article 85 of the French Data Protection Law.

These rights are only applicable within the limits of Hive's capabilities regarding the use of Facebook, Google, or Apple to connect to the Application. Some data is sent to Hive by Facebook, Google, or Apple and cannot be corrected without the support of Facebook, Google, or Apple.

9. How Long Do We Keep Your Data?

Hive has implemented a procedure that respects the retention periods specified below for the automatic deletion of your account and personal data. If there is data that needs to be stored for statistical purposes beyond these periods, this data is irreversibly anonymized to prevent the identification of the identity.

Hive stores the Member's data for the time necessary for the Member to use their Account, i.e.:

The Member's registration period plus 24 months. If an Account has not been active for 24 months, it is deleted, and the Member's data is stored for one more year before being permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized. An Account is considered inactive when the Member's Application does not connect to Hive servers (especially because the location option is disabled) and the Member does not use the Application. In any case, a Premium Member's Account is not considered inactive. You should take into account that, due to Hive's status as a hosting provider, Hive is legally obliged to retain some of the Members' personal data for a period of one year under Article 6 of the French Digital Economy Trust Law of June 21, 2004.
When a Member is banned, their account becomes inactive. The information of the banned account is stored in the active database for 24 months to compare it with the information provided in new registrations to the Application and to prevent the removed user from re-registering as much as possible. At the end of this period, personal data is archived and stored for an additional year before being permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
When a Member deletes their account or requests deletion from customer service, the account is deleted from the Application. However, to allow Hive to comply with its storage obligation as a hosting provider, the Member's data is stored in a separate archive database for one year before being permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
Some of the Member's data, such as email address and phone number, will be stored for customer acquisition or Marketing purposes (see section 4.3) or for analysis purposes to improve and make the service more ideal (see section 4.4) for 1 year after the Account has been inactive for 24 months. If the Member deletes their Account, the data is not used for customer acquisition or Marketing purposes.

Regarding your Geolocations and Meeting Points, shorter retention periods apply:

Your last Geolocation is stored for one month from the date it is collected to determine Meeting Points with other Members;
Your Meeting Points are stored for six months from the date they are collected to show the Profiles of Members you have encountered in the Application.

Hive commits to using all available means and making the best effort to guarantee the optimal security of the stored data. However, it is the Member's responsibility to take the necessary measures to protect their own data.

10. Personal Data of Minors

Hive refuses to collect data from minors. If a Member lies about their age and, moreover, makes a false declaration about their majority, the child's parents must notify Hive by sending an email to the address specified in section 11 "Contact" to request the deletion of the data. Hive commits to deleting the minor's personal data as soon as possible.

11. Contact

You can contact us for any questions regarding this privacy policy or your personal data:
